Inverleith Park

Inverleith Park is a large public park to the north of Edinburgh city centre, created from farmland acquired by the city in 1889. The park has plenty of green space, a pond, sports pitches, tennis and volleyball courts, walking and cycle paths and a children’s play area. Points of interest include the Kinloch Anderson Sundial, which was gifted to the park in 1890 and fully restored in 2018, and the Dunlop Fountain, erected in memory of John Charles Dunlop, councillor for St Bernard’s Ward, in 1899.
The park is located Arboretum Place, opposite the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. It has often been used as a venue for outdoor events, such as Edinburgh Foodies Festival, parts of the Edinburgh International Science Festival, and as a family viewing area for the Edinburgh International Festival fireworks display.
