Harrison Park

Harrison Park is a community green space in the Polwarth area of Edinburgh. Situated alongside the Union Canal, it is divided into two sections, Harrison Park West and Harrison Park East. This combines to a space of around 7 hectares, where people of all ages can relax and enjoy the outdoors. The park features well-maintained grassy areas, tree-lined paths and flowerbeds. It is popular with families due to its children’s play areas. The wide open spaces also make it a favourite spot for sports and activities, with plenty of room for playing frisbee, football and jogging.
From Harrison Park, you can access the Union Canal walkway, ideal for walking and cycling. This long-distance path follows the canal from Edinburgh to Falkirk, and passes directly along the southern border of the park. Additionally, the canal itself offers opportunities for boating, canoeing and other water-based activities.
