The Cameo Picturehouse in Edinburgh is one of Scotland’s oldest surviving cinemas. It first opened in 1914 as the King’s Cinema before later becoming the Cameo in 1949. It remained independent until 2003, when it was bought by Cineworld’s Picturehouse Cinemas. But despite various refurbishments, the cinema has preserved its classic look and intimate atmosphere, making it a favorite for those seeking an old-fashioned cinematic experience.
