This historic cinema is situated in the Morningside district of Edinburgh, south of the city centre, and shows a selection of popular films. It is one of the only independent, family-run cinemas in the city. Founded by Captain William Cameron in 1938 and run by the Cameron family ever since. Over the years the Dominion has grown and expanded. Now with 4 movie screens and fitted with luxury leather seating and surround sound systems, it provides a modern cinema experience.

The distinctive art deco style cinema is Category B listed building. It has been a hot spot for the stars of the silver screen through the decades. With visits from the likes of Cary Grant, Gene Kelly, George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio, Billy Connolly and Dame Judy Dench.
