St James Quarter

The St James Quarter is a large shopping and lifestyle centre in Edinburgh city centre with cinema, stores, bars, restaurants and holiday accommodation. This modern development opened in 2021, replacing the original St James Centre, which dated from 1973. The new crescent-shaped design features a glass roof and 4 stories of outlets.
The existing John Lewis department store was incorporated into the new design. There are around 80 outlets within the centre. Mainly featuring a mix of high street and luxury retail brands. There is also a food hall with several independent food and drink outlets. The Everyman Cinema has 5 screens and shows a variety of mainstream, classic and independent films.
