Holyrood Distillery
Address: 19 St Leonard’s Lane, Edinburgh, EH8 9SH
Holyrood Distillery is a whisky and gin distillery in Edinburgh. Located next to Holyrood Park, it is the only single malt whisky distillery in the city centre. Recently opened in 2019, Holyrood Distillery offers gin and whisky tours, tastings and masterclasses. There is also a shop, where you can purchase premium spirits and other gifts and souvenirs.
The distillery building was originally part of the Edinburgh and Dalkeith Railway, built in 1835. It has been renovated to create a contemporary distillery and visitor centre. The company’s modern approach means they are unconstrained by the usual traditions associated with malt whisky production. So they are free to experiment with flavours and create something distinctively different.
