Edinburgh Corn Exchange
Address: 11 New Market Road, Edinburgh, EH14 1RJ
Located to the southwest of the city, Edinburgh Corn Exchange is a versatile live music and events venue owned by Academy Music Group. It regularly hosts concerts, music festivals, exhibitions and special events. In addition to its main event space, the venue has various leisure activities on-site. These include a ten-pin bowling centre, mini football pitches and a lively sports bar, making it a popular destination not just for music lovers, but also for groups of friends and families looking for entertainment.
The grade B listed building was originally a merchant trade centre for grains and wheat, built in 1909. However, as trading in the UK became more centralised, the building was used for other purposes. It underwent restoration in 1999, transforming it into a large-scale events and hospitality venue. In 2021, the venue was rebranded as the O2 Academy Edinburgh after being acquired by the Academy Music Group, joining a larger network of music and entertainment spaces. But then in 2025 it reverted to its original name, the Edinburgh Corn Exchange, while still operating under the Academy Music Group umbrella.
