Dynamic Earth is an interactive science museum. It takes visitors on a journey through the past, present and future of Planet Earth. This striking landmark is one of the top family attractions in the city, situated in the picturesque Holyrood area, beside Arthur’s Seat. The centre opened in 1999, as one of the UK’s projects to celebrate the turning of a new millennium. Transforming former industrial land at the lower end of Holyrood Road into an impressive new scientific attraction.
There are fourteen zones to visit, so leave plenty of time to explore this visitor attraction. There’s so much to see, including captivating galleries, interactive exhibits and state-of-the-art technology, bringing the story of our world to life. One of the highlights is the high-definition 360° digital ShowDome, where you can experience immersive planetarium shows with explosive surround sound.

- Take an epic 4D expedition from the Arctic to deep within the tropical rainforest, with exciting stereoscopic 3D film and 4D special effects.
- Enter the awe-inspiring ShowDome. A dramatic 360-degree full dome projection is screened with 10.2 surround sound, providing a fully immersive cinematic experience and allowing the audience to feel part of the action.
