The Camera Obscura and World of Illusions is located at the top of the Royal Mile by the Castle. It is Edinburgh’s oldest purpose built tourist attraction, and is as popular today as ever before. The Camera Obscura Show uses a giant periscope to show you Edinburgh in a very unique way. Live moving images are projected onto a large viewing table, giving you a panoramic view of the city which has been delighting audiences since Victorian times.
The World Of Illusions has five floors and over 100 hands-on exhibits to entertain the whole family. With optical illusions, interactive experiences, bendy mirrors, holograms, thermal cameras, plasma tubes and globes, a mirror maze, a vortex tunnel, a so much more. Leave plenty of time to visit this attraction, especially if visiting with young children, as there is a lot to see and do.
