St Andrew’s Day is the official national day of Scotland, named after our patron saint, St Andrew. We celebrate St Andrew’s Day on 30th November every year.

St Andrew’s Day Ticket Giveaway

Over St Andrew’s Weekend (24th & 25th November 2018) many attractions across Scotland offer free tickets. All you have to do is visit the Historic Scotland Ticket Giveaway website and pre-book your chosen tickets before 23rd November. So, you can grab free tickets for Edinburgh Castle, Craigmillar Castle, Blackness Castle, Linlithgow Palace, Dirleton Castle and Tantallon Castle, all in and around the Edinburgh area. What better way to celebrate than by exploring Scotland’s most historic monuments and castles!

St Andrew’s Day Ball

Dance the night away on 30th November at a St Andrew’s Ball, a celebration of all things Scottish. With traditional food and drink, Scottish music and ceilidh dancing. Tickets are on sale now for this charity ball at The Hub.

Festive Celebrations

Enjoy Scotland’s national day with a visit to Edinburgh’s Christmas celebrations in the city centre. Events are on from mid-November to early-January, with lots of rides, attractions, markets and shows to keep the whole family entertained. Be sure to visit St Andrew Square, which features a stunning circular ice rink that allows you to skate 360 degrees around the square. There’s also a bar for something warm to drink afterwards!
