I’m a massive fan of S. Luca Ice Cream. It’s delicious, creamy and smooth, comes in loads of flavours and is made locally too. Last week we went along to their Morningside cafe with the kids for a late breakfast and of course some ice cream!
The cafe has recently been refurbished and is looking lovely, with comfy new purple leather seating. It started to get busy just as we arrived, but we managed to get a nice booth upstairs.
I ordered a breakfast roll with sausage and egg, which was very nice. Then for the main event I went for the Millionaire Sundae. This is a genius idea – warm melty millionaire shortbread served with vanilla and chocolate ice cream and butterscotch sauce. It was very sweet, but perfect for me and my sweet tooth.
The others enjoyed their food too. My one year old got his first taste of strawberry ice cream and was practically crawling over the table to get more. Luca’s definitely gets a thumbs up from him.
The service was friendly and fast, which was good as we were quite pushed for time. We all had a great time and I’m sure we’ll be back soon.
