I took my husband to Fazenda this weekend to celebrate his birthday. As an all-you-can-eat restaurant where sizzling meats are the speciality, it sounded right up his street!
There was a gourmet sides bar, serving salads, vegetables, breads, cured meats, cheeses, rice, potatoes and more. We could take whatever we wanted from here and were free to go back as many times as we liked.
There were several servers walking around the restaurant with skewers of hot sizzling meat. We each had a card on our table which was red on one side and green on the other. When we wanted them to bring meat to our table we switched it to green. And when we wanted a rest, we switched it to red.
This is such a great idea and it works really well! The sides bar was incredible. I could have happily eaten from here alone. I especially loved the chimichurri potatoes and garlic mushrooms. And the selection of hot meats served at our table was also excellent. We tried the minted lamb, marinated chicken thighs, south american pork sausage, gammon with pineapple, and their signature cap of rump steak. Everything was good, by my favourite was the cap of rump. It was so tender and flavourful.
The service was fantastic too. Everyone was so friendly. And even though the restaurant was busy, the staff were quick and efficient. We couldn’t fault them. The lunch time sitting on weekends is £21.50 per person. For what you get, we thought this was very good value. We had a wonderful time at Fazenda.
The only problem was I ate far too much and ended up feeling ill, so we didn’t stay out for too long afterwards. My husband was more sensible and paced himself. I always have this problem with all-you-can-eat places. My eyes are too big for my belly. So be warned!
