Located in South Queensferry, by the shores of the Firth of Forth, the Queensferry Museum tells the story of the historic Queensferry area and the iconic Forth Rail Bridge. With stunning views out to the bridge, you’ll learn all about this famous Scottish landmark and amazing feat of engineering. There are also exhibitions covering the local area, its social history and folk traditions. Please note, the museum is only open at selected times, so check before travelling.
The museum is located on the High Street in South Queensferry. The small town is about 10 miles northwest of Edinburgh. You can easily reach there from the city centre by bus in less than an hour. Or, you can take a train from Edinburgh Waverley to Dalmeny, and the museum is a 15-minute walk from the station.
