Step into Edinburgh’s darker side with Escape The Past. This is an escape room experience where history comes alive! Historical settings, period props and professional actors set the scene, as you aim to solve puzzles and riddles in order to escape against the clock. You’ll need sharp wits and steady nerves to unravel these mysteries, all rooted in true stories from the city’s past.
Choose between two indoor escape rooms, designed to transport you back in time. Select either The Anatomist, set in the early 1800s, when grave robbery was rife in Edinburgh, or The Deacon’s Cabinet, based on the true story of 18th century cabinet maker and thief, Deacon Brodie. In teams of up to 6 or 8 people, you’ll have an hour to solve these immersive and interactive games. Alternatively, try the outdoor trail, which starts when you collect your pack from Escape The Past HQ, and takes you on a journey through the streets of Edinburgh. This is suitable for groups of up to 30 and takes around 2 hours to complete.
