The Secret Herb Garden is a specialist herb nursery south of Edinburgh, located at the foot of the Pentland Hills. Created by couple Hamish and Liberty Martin in 2014, this 7.5 acre garden with café and shop celebrates the magic of herbs. The Secret Garden Distillery on site, produces a range of gins made with home grown botanicals from the garden and runs a series of tours and tastings.
A relaxing place to sit, walk or learn about the wide variety herbs and plants in the garden and glasshouse. The family-friendly café serves fresh home-made food, using seasonal ingredients grown in the garden. The shop offers a range of items from the garden itself, such as honey, herbs and flowers, along with local Scottish arts and crafts. Tours of the distillery teach visitors about the gin-making process and allow you to try some samples for yourself.
